Description
Dry camping on-site is available, and encouraged. Facilities are limited though. There will be porta potties, plus (very) limited electricity for charging phones, etc. Camping is open for NSL beginning Wednesday afternoon, and closes the following Tuesday, unless other arrangements are made with the Event Director.
Weather
Spring weather in the San Luis Valley is generally good, but when it comes, it tends to “come all at once”. Rocketeer campers are hearty folks and no strangers to changing weather. Prep accordingly.
Early Arrivals
Please check in with a club member or volunteer on-site before pitching your tent or RV.
RV’s
RV’s are expected to be set up against the “berm”. There shall be no RVs on the flight line, so as to prevent viewing restrictions. As you enter the main area, take a hard left or right and set up along the berm. All RV’rs are expected to park their vehicles with sensitivity to other campers. Late arrivals shall be prepared to move/adjust their placement in the morning if needed, to accomodate all camper/fliers. If coming in late, please get parked and shut down as quickly as possible to minimize the impact to sleeping rocketeers. We don’t want to interrupt anyone’s dual deployment dreams . . .
